The Montessori Schoolhouse, founded in 2002, provides a first class Montessori educational experience for the expatriate and indigenous residents of Lagos Island. It has a consulting relationship with The Maria Montessori Institute in London to help it attain and maintain high international standards and prides itself on the rich diversity of its students stemming from 8 different nationalities – Nigerian, American, French, Russian, British, South African, German and Lebanese.

We are committed to providing Montessori education for children with strict adherence to Dr Maria’s Montessori’s philosophy and the high standards set by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI – Established 1929). W offer two academic learning environments:
The Toddler Program; and
The Primary Program

Children are admitted into the School as early as 12 months (as long as they are walking) and can remain with us until they are 6½ years.
